CICERO, NY – After two months rainouts, we got our Summit Racing E.T. Racing Series underway for the 2018 racing season with a full card of E.T. classes. Here’s how the final rounds shook out and the boxscores below.
The Super Pro final saw Carl Drake Jr. score the Super Pro win over Vince Musolino. Carl took a .010 to .022 starting line advantage and chased Vince down by running a 4.356 at 155.76 mph pass on his 4.34 dial-in to take the win. Vince posted a 4.461 on his 4.43 dial. Heather Scheier made it to the semis.
Terry Lee drove his Mustang to a .010-package to take the win over Mike LaRose. Terry’s .010-initiated 9.871 at 131.96 mph left no room for Mike to hold off and got the first Pro win light of the season. Mike’s breakout 10.222 on his 10.25 dial was good for the runner-up finish. Don Austin and Justin Hardman were the semifinalist.
Pro MX action saw Ryan Orizino ride his ’96 Arctic Cat to the win over Bob Salerno. Nearly identical R.T.s at the start, but Ryan held a .075 to .078 edge and ran just .010 off his 10.45 dial to take the win. Sudsy Eastmanwas the sole semifinalist.
Jenna Lipke won the family feud over her dad, Todd Lipke to score the Street Money win. Jenna held a decisive .054 to .118 R.T. lead and won the double breakout final running an 11.794 (11.85 dial) to Todd’s 11.774 (11.90 dial). Jessica DeSiato and Jim Pipines made it to the semis.
Jacob Bombard took the Modified win over David Reinhardt. David was right on his 8.93 dial-in running an 8.937, but Jacob’s .010 to .084 starting line advantage was enough to hold off the hard-charging Camaro and get the win. Derek Register drove to a semifinal finish.
Steve English got the Trophy win over Tyler Spiarek, driving around Tyler’s R.T. advantage. Steve posted a 12.613 at 108.66 mph on his 12.57 dial, while Tyler fell off his 12.80 dial-in and ran a 12.893 in his runner-up effort. Roger Schmidt and Rich Garland drove to semifinal finishes.
Wendy Eastman defeated her father-in-law Sudsy Eastman in another family feud. Sudsy had a .069 advantage in the bank over Wendy at the start, but fell off his 10.10 dial with a 10.676 runner-up pass. Wendy held on for the win running a 11.144 on her 11.09 dial-in. Kevin Wuest was the semifinalist.
Messiah Hart got the Jr. Dragster win over a red lighting Daniel Thorpe. Jimmy O’Toole made it to the semis.
That wraps it up for today’s action, we’ll see you next Sunday.
