CNYM Exclusive: Batman Britten Redeems Himself with $20,000 Camping World 150 Victory

A year removed from losing the 2017 edition of the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 by the virtue of a last lap pass in the final corner, Peter Britten has won today’s Camping World 150 for the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds as part of NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week at the Oswego Speedway.

Representing Graham Racing, Britten started in twelfth in the 150 and after a mid-race pit stop, stormed his way up through the field to pass race long leader Stewart Friesen with eight laps to go for the victory. ‘Batman’s’ win was his first  ‘big’ victory at Super DIRT Week worth $20,000.

“I can’t thank all these Graham Racing guys enough,” the Brisbane, Queensland, Australia native said from victory lane. “The track was perfect, we got the car down pit road and made all the right calls to have the best car at the end. Our mistake last year was we were not the best car at the end, but this year we timed everything right and got it done. I can’t thank Ray Graham, Troyer Race Cars and Enders Racing enough. Last night and today are a huge confidence booster going into the rest of the weekend, but we are here for Sunday.”

Following Britten in the top ten were Friesen in second, Matt Sheppard in third, Brett Hearn in fourth, Erick Rudolph in fifth, Pat Ward in sixth, Billy Dunn in seventh, Gary Lindberg in eighth, Kenny Tremont in ninth, and Ron Davis III in tenth. Polesitter Tm Fuller finished seventeenth.
