FONDA SPEEDWAY IS BACK IN ACTION THIS SATURDAY AFTER THE SECOND RAINOUT OF THE SEASON

FONDA, NY – This Saturday, May 19 all regular divisions will be back in action at the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway after the second rainout of the season last week. Starting time on Local 7 Plumbers & Steamfitters Night will be 7:00 p.m.

The King of Dirt (KOD) sportsman series event that was rained out last Saturday will now be held on Saturday, July 14.

Last Saturday, early morning rain and cold temperatures forced the cancellation of the events at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds facility so the drivers and fans are looking to get back to some racing action this week.

Looking back to one year ago, Stewart Friesen (modified), Rocky Warner (sportsman), Kathy Bellen (limited sportsman), Kenny Gates (pro stock), and Rob VanAernam (street stock) were all winners in the mid May racing events held at Fonda.

After two racing evets this season Stewart Friesen (modified), Nick Scavia (sportsman), Derrick McGrew Jr. (limited sportsman), Kenny Gates (pro stock), and Cliff Haslun (street stock) lead the point standings going into this Saturdays events at Fonda.

So who will this week’s winners be? Will a first time winner breakthrough in one of the weekly divisions that are running this Saturday or will it be another driver who adds a victory to their all-time win list totals? Come to the Fonda Speedway this Saturday and find out for yourself!
