Peter Britten And Team 21A Gearing Up For Some Busy Weeks Of Racing Ahead

WEEDSPORT, NY – Mother Nature hasn’t been kind to the dirt racers so far this season, and for Peter Britten, a three-race week turned into a single event on Friday at Albany-Saratoga.

He will, however have an even busier one this coming weekend with four races in three days.

Britten and the Troyer 21a came home 11th on Friday night at the “Great Race Place” to stay in the championship title hunt.  The team has been consistent since their opening night victory and are working to improve their finishes as well as their equipment as the summer months roll on.

Then, the team’s focus shifted to Lebanon Valley on Saturday where Peter qualified through the heat and was scheduled to start 15th in the 30-lap Modified main event.  However, Mother Nature but her foot down and the rest of the racing program was cancelled.  That means double features this Saturday at the high banks.

“You really need to be prepared when you head to any track for double features,” Britten said.  “It’ll be such a short turn around between each race that you need to make sure you have what you need.  If things go well early, you are okay.  If not, it makes for a long night.

Then, this past Wednesday night was “suppose” to be the make up of the “Come ‘N Get It” event at Albany-Saratoga that has been rained out on several occasions this season.  However, rain won out again and now this event has been rescheduled for Thursday night, September 21st.

Next up for Peter is four races in three days with events at Albany-Saratoga on Friday, doulble features at Lebanon Valley on Saturday, and the Modified Series at Weedsport Speedway on Sunday as part of their All Star Challenge.
